Therapy dogs profoundly impact their humans -- Podcast # 3

Teri Pichot's book fourth book,  Transformation of the Heart: Tales of the Profound Impact Therapy Dogs have on their Humans takes a fascinating new path. While acknowledging the incredible usefulness of these creatures,Teri focuses on the fundamental impact they have on their humans (handlers). We talk about the ways in which they change, many times unexpectedly, the lives of their humans.

Surprisingly, we learn that a majority of therapy dogs come from pets already living within the household. Teri relates her own transformational experience with her two dogs, Rocky and Jasper. Podcast # 1 We're all Gigging now

Simply, a brief introduction to the concept and origins of "Recrafting." We discuss the metaphor of Robinson Crusoe and the ways in which he had to acquire recrafting skills on the island on which he was shipwrecked. Like Robinson Crusoe, we live in challenging times often experiencing life as if we were shipwrecked on a deserted island. The purpose of the podcast is to engage in conversations about the ways in which we can recraft lives.

Specifically, we will interview experts in the fields of psychology, health and healing, the creative arts, and innovative business practices with the goal of creating a useful set of tools that will enable us to find our way home. Check out the podcasts and let us know what you think.
